Some Sheffield United fans have been reacting to a tweet that was recently posted by Blades-focused Twitter account @The_Bladesman, who shared the news that the South Yorkshire-based club will allegedly “face tough competition to sign Olympiacos left-back Kostas Tsimikas this summer”.

@The_Bladesman’s recent tweet goes on to list Italian Serie A sides Inter and Napoli, in addition to the Blades’ Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Leicester City as teams who are “all interested“ in signing the 23-year-old left-back – which is backed up by a report from YorkshireLive.

The report linking the Blades with a move for the 23-year-old Greece international originally surfaced from Greek publication Fos. As well as Tsimikas, this article from Fos shared that Sheffield United are also allegedly keeping an eye on another three Olympiacos players, prior to this summer’s transfer window.

Despite Tsimikas reportedly garnering interest from plenty of clubs from England as well as Italy, some Blades fans haven’t reacted with much excitement to these reports suggesting that they may sign the left-back. Read the responses of some Sheffield United fans to @The_Bladesman’s recent tweet which shares this news in the tweets below.

To kick off this 1990s Premier League quiz, which season was the Premier League's inaugural campaign?

Would you like to see Sheffield United sign Kostas Tsimikas?

YES, HE IS THE KIND OF PLAYER WE SHOULD BE TARGETING

NO, WE DON'T NEED HIM

NO, WE DON'T NEED HIM

What do we think?

It may be fair to say that current Blades left-back Enda Stevens has been one of the club’s best players this season. Stevens has earned an average overall rating of 6.96 (according to WhoScored.com) from his 28 Premier League appearances thus far. WhoScored currently ranks Stevens as the Blades’ third-highest player in terms of match rating for the 2019/20 Premier League campaign. With that in mind, it may be understandable why some Sheffield United fans appear not to be too fussed about whether or not they sign this left-back.
