For purely selfish reasons, no. He can and will take SUFC further than we ever dreamed. He’s one of our own. UTB

He wouldn’t do well as England manger, too many ego’s that wouldn’t pass the wilder personality test. There’s name in that squad that he’d want to drop but wouldn’t be allowed to.

What do we think?
As reported by the BBC, Wilder has “worked his way up through the leagues” on the English professional football ladder to put himself into the position he is today.
Wilder earned promotion from the Conference when he helped Oxford United to get back into the Football League in May 2010. During his tenure as Northampton Town boss, Wilder lead the Cobblers to their first title for 29 years as they won the 2015/16 League Two title, winning promotion to League One in the process.
Wilder subsequently joined his current club Sheffield United, where he has earned two promotions in three years to help the Blades back to England’s top flight, where they currently sit in seventh place in the Premier League table, just one season after achieving promotion from the Championship.
Considering his career path, it may be understandable why some may feel that the national team manager’s position may be a logical step for Wilder to take in the future. However, considering that he has earned two promotions in three years with the Blades, it may also be understandable why many Sheffield United fans might want their side to do whatever they can to retain Wilder’s services.
