A lot of Newcastle United fans have responded to a tweet from NUFC 360 which has relayed quotes from a report in the Daily Mail – that were originally from a report in Mundo Deportivo.
The piece claims that Arturo Vidal sees Newcastle as a more attractive proposition than joining Manchester United if the Toon are taken over and appoint Massimiliano Allegri as boss.
This has drawn a big reaction from these Toon fans who can’t believe that Vidal has been linked with a move to Tyneside.
Do you believe that Vidal wants to join Newcastle?
Yes
No
Arturo Vidal sees Newcastle as having a 'very attractive growth plan,' and would be interested in joining the club if they were to replace Steve Bruce with his old Juventus boss Max Allegri. #NUFC [Daily Mail]

Never thought I’d read this type of headline. Would rather sign for Nufc as he’s unconvinced by Man Utd ? pic.twitter.com/U7doIvywhL

? mental this. Literally no one is privy to any info on the clubs “growth plan”. Won’t stop the mail writing it though.

What do we think?
Vidal will be 33 in May and his contract with Barcelona expires in 2021.
However, if this proposed takeover comes off, he would apparently want to join Newcastle and leave Barcelona.
The Chilean midfielder has played for the likes of Juventus and Bayern Munich, but it seems that if Newcastle are taken over, he wants to move to Tyneside.
However, with the takeover still not completed, we think that speculating on transfers is unwise until the deal is confirmed.
