A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a tweet from Warren Barton in reference to Timo Werner.
Sky Sports News claims that the German is ready to sign for Liverpool in the summer if they pay his £52m release clause.
However, the former Toon player suggested that Newcastle should ‘get him‘.

What do we think?
Newcastle are in the middle of a proposed takeover by Amanda Staveley’s Saudi-backed consortium – with a deal supposedly close to completion.
This is probably why Barton suggested that Newcastle should sign Werner.
The 24-year-old has been in scintillating form this season having scored 27 goals and provided 12 assists in all competitions.
If Newcastle were to be taken over and convinced Werner to move to Tyneside over Merseyside, then that could be a major coup. However, we feel it is a bit pointless to be talking about potential transfers when nothing has been announced regarding the takeover.
