A lot of Newcastle United fans have flocked to a post from Craig Hope, who has included a piece on Saudi Arabia’s bid to take Premier League broadcasting rights off BeIN Sports.
The piece claims that the Saudis are ready to end the issue of piracy in their country by competing with beIN for the PL rights for the Middle East and North Africa.
The piece also states that the takeover of Newcastle is expected to go through, and that will trigger the Saudis’ attempts to buy the Premier League TV rights.
This post from Hope has drawn a good reaction from these Toon fans who now understand why beIN were so opposed to their takeover.
Do you think the Saudis will win the broadcasting rights from beIN?
Yes
No

What do we think?
This could explain why beIN were so against the Toon’s proposed takeover by a Saudi-backed consortium and could also explain why Keys has been so against it as well – considering he works for beIN.
If Newcastle’s takeover is approved, then according to this piece, beIN could lose out to the Saudis, and judging by the reaction of these Toon fans, they would find that hilarious.
