Considering that current Newcastle owner Mike Ashley has been somewhat of an unpopular figure throughout his tenure at St. James’ Park, it may be understandable why some Magpies fans have been reacting with excitement to @NUFC360’s recent tweet which shares that Saudi Arabia’s Sports Minister has followed the club on Twitter.

Furthermore, considering that this has come amid reports that a Saudi-backed consortium are in the midst of completing a takeover of the club, this may give us an indication of his confidence that this reported takeover may reach a positive conclusion for the club’s new prospective owners sooner rather than later.
