A lot of Newcastle United fans have responded to a tweet from NUFC 360, which includes details of a new takeover rumour from Miguel Delaney.
He claimed on The Stand that PIF might be getting cold feet about investing in the Toon because of the failure of some of their other investments. (Via NUFC 360)
However, Delaney then clarified that this was just him speculating and that it wasn’t a definitive claim.
Either way, though, it has not gone down well with these Toon fans who seem to be expecting this takeover to collapse.
What do you think this means?
Takeover could be about to collpase
Nothing, Delaney was just speculating
It is thought PIF may be getting cold feet over the takeover of #NUFC following poor returns on other investments [@MiguelDelaney]

What do we think?
This speculation from Delaney (via NUFC 360) has triggered a big response from nervous Newcastle fans, but at least he clarified that it was just him speculating.
However, he does believe that if PIF were to take over the Toon, then they would be getting owners who are worse than Mike Ashley.
The Independent reporter claimed that if the takeover was to go through, then Toon fans ‘should stage a funeral‘ and that the Saudis would use their club as an ‘instrument of foreign policy‘.
However, judging by the replies to that tweet, we don’t think many Newcastle fans are bothered about that – they just want Ashley out of their club.
