A lot of Newcastle United fans have responded to a tweet from NUFC 360, which has relayed quotes from The Guardian about the latest takeover update.
The Guardian claims that it will be a ‘formality’ for the proposed new owners to pass the Premier League’s owners’ and directors’ test.
It is also believed that takeover plans include an intention to invest in both the club and the city significantly.
PIF’s governor Yasir Al-Ramayyan is expected to become the club’s new chairman, and a new director of football will be appointed.
