A lot of Newcastle United fans have responded to a tweet from NUFC 360, which has relayed quotes made in the Daily Star about the Toon’s interest in Philippe Coutinho.
The report, originally from Mundo Deportivo, claims that Coutinho is set to be forced out of Barcelona, and a return to the Premier League looks like an ‘obvious choice’ for the Brazilian (via Daily Star).
Mundo Deportivo reports that Barcelona would accept any offers in the region of what they paid Liverpool for him in January 2018 – which they claim Newcastle might be able to afford should their proposed takeover go through.
This report has attracted the attention of many Newcastle fans who are excited about the possibility of signing Coutinho.
If the takeover of Newcastle goes through do you think Coutinho would want to join them?

What do we think?
For Liverpool, Coutinho scored 41 goals and provided 37 assists in the Premier League – so he has proven that he is capable in the top flight.
So, if Newcastle were to be taken over and went for Coutinho, they would be getting a player who has performed in the Premier League.
However, considering there has been no announcement on the takeover, we think it is a bit premature to be talking about any potential signings for the Toon.
