A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a tweet from Craig Hope with his view on the proposed takeover.
He claims that ‘all available sources point towards this happening’ and that there are ‘no hitches anticipated‘.
Hope also thinks that we will know within a few weeks if everything is fine and the takeover can go ahead.
This has drawn a reaction from these Newcastle fans.
Does this tweet from Hope make you more optimistic?
Yes, he sounds quite confident
No, still not believing it until the deal is confirmed
If you can ignore caution caused by #nufctakeover history, then all available sources point towards this happening. Still nothing direct from Ashley/NUFC, but conviction of others over wknd remains absolute, with no hitches anticipated. Time (a few weeks, thankfully), will tell.

Thanks Craig, do you believe this to be true as well from what you’ve heard?

I honesty don’t think we will hear from Ashley at all, he will take his money and leave. No statement no nothing that’s him

? Wouldn’t expect a word from MA other than “are you happy now?”

What do we think?
The Daily Mail reporter seems to be quite optimistic about this takeover happening, but he does mention the fact that Mike Ashley and the club themselves have said nothing despite strong claims from other sources that this is a done deal.
It was also revealed by The Athletic’s George Caulkin that documents were sent to the Premier League around the 9th of April – so the checks could be further along than some think.
If this is true, then Hope and many Newcastle fans might not have as long to wait before an announcement is made on the future of the Toon.
