A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a tweet from NUFC 360, which has relayed quotes made by the Daily Mail.
They claim that there will be restrictions in place from both the Premier League and UEFA to stop the Toon going on a spending spree.
Both organisations have stated that there will be no relaxation on FFP and that future commercial deals at Newcastle will be ‘tightly scrutinised.’
However, many Newcastle fans have taken the tone of this article to mean that the takeover is now done, and they don’t really care about any limits on FFP.
Are you concerned by FFP yet?
Yes
No
Sources at both the PL and UEFA say future commercial deals at #nufc will be tightly scrutinised so the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) cannot 'cook the books' and inject extra cash in trumped-up sponsorship deals above market rates to get around FFP. [Daily Mail]

We knew this anyway. Plus side is the deal seems to be done if they are saying this.

Not an issue at all, the commercial potential is huge, we can match the commercial income of all bar maybe Man Utd & Liverpool, so we will be able to spend and improve gradually, top 4 in a few years time should not be out of reach, should be easy to improve on Ashley HWTL ??

Was anyone expecting them not to? It’s what they’re meant to do?

Not bothered. We want to grow naturally with strong system in place.

What do we think?
This article does sound like the proposed takeover of Newcastle is done; however, with no official announcement as of yet, we urge many Toon fans to be cautious.
The intricacies of FFP and how they could impact the Toon, in our opinion, should not be discussed until an official announcement is made.
However, it is undeniable that this piece is positive, and to these Toon fans, it implies the Premier League has accepted the takeover.
