A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a tweet from Luke Edwards regarding Steve Bruce.
The Daily Telegraph reporter claims that Bruce has not been told what is happening with the proposed takeover, stating that he has had to get all of his information from the media, as he has had no contact with Mike Ashley.
This has drawn a reaction from these Newcastle fans who are annoyed at the way Bruce has been treated.
Do you feel sorry for Bruce in this situation?
Yes
No
Steve Bruce STILL hasn’t been told what is happening with #nufc takeover. No contact with Mike Ashley, no guidance on timescale. All updates gained from media. Sums up the confusion at the club and the shoddy way this has been handled. Again. Like so much of the last 13 yrs

Pathetic owenership.. I know he’s not a fan favourite but no one should ever be sat in limbo when it comes to your work

Totally unfair

This is shocking, but not a surprise. Bruce was aware of Ashley before taking this job so……

That just sums up the last 13 years to a tee.
Utterly ridiculous management of the running of the club.— Paul Sutcliffe (@PaulSutcliffe80) April 27, 2020
Absolute joke man honestly

What do we think?
Newcastle’s proposed takeover by Amanda Staveley’s Saudi-backed consortium is currently with the Premier League going through the owners and directors test after a deposit was paid to Ashley.
However, judging by this tweet from Edwards, Bruce does not know how far along the deal is, as Ashley has not spoken to him.
This seems harsh on the former Sunderland boss, who has the Toon eight points clear of the relegation zone.
Surely he deserves to know what is going on?
Certainly, some of these Toon fans appear to think so.
