A lot of Newcastle United fans have responded to a tweet from the Chronicle that includes an article that provides an update on Newcastle’s proposed takeover.
Lee Ryder claims that Newcastle’s ‘would-be owners are expecting to get the green light from the Premier League.’
The next step will be the transfer of funds from Amanda Staveley’s Saudi-backed consortium to Mike Ashley.
After that, it is expected that a joint statement from all parties involved in the deal would be released confirming the sale of the Toon.
Are you surprised there will be a joint statement when the takeover is confirmed?
Yes
No
This update has excited these Newcastle fans.
NEW: "All parties are prepared to produce a joint statement which would then be pushed out at the same time."

What do we think?
Though this report does not give a timeframe for when the deal might be completed, it sounds like the sale of the Toon will go through once the Premier League have approved the deal.
The Athletic’s George Caulkin stated that the Premier League would accept the deal ‘very soon’, and this update from Ryder seems to clarify the situation.
We can only recommend Newcastle fans to sit back and wait for that joint statement.
