Fans of Newcastle have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which Jetro Willems jokes that the proposed Newcastle takeover could see him and Allan Saint-Maximin omitted from the starting XI.
In response to a post by 433 on Twitter, which included a mock line-up of Newcastle’s starting XI should they be able to spend vast sums of money following their proposed takeover, Willems tagged Allan Saint-Maximin in a tweet, with the comment: “We out or just on the bench?”
In reaction to his post, fans of Newcastle flocked to have their say on the matter, with many suggesting that both Willems and Saint-Maximin will be staying at the club, no matter what happens.
Would you like to see Willems and Saint-Maximin remain at the club beyond this season?
Of course!

What do we think?
While it would appear that Willems was joking with his comment to Saint-Maximin, it is clear that many of the Newcastle fans would very much like to see the 26-year-old – who is currently on loan from Eintracht Frankfurt – remain at the club following the proposed takeover.
This season, the left-back has made 19 Premier League appearances for the Magpies, scoring two goals and providing two assists, while averaging a WhoScored match rating of 6.84.
Meanwhile, Saint-Maximin has made 18 appearances in the Premier League, scoring two goals and providing one assist, averaging a match rating of 7.18.
As such, it is clear why so many of the Newcastle fans would like to see both of the players remain at the club beyond the end of this season, takeover or no takeover.
