A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a tweet from NUFC 360 that includes a piece from the Evening Chronicle with a takeover update.
The Chronicle claims that PIF remain in talks with Mike Ashley and that discussions are at a ‘delicate stage.’
The report claims that Ashley has a ‘big decision’ to make, although there has been no agreement reached.
However, despite this, Ashley and Newcastle have not refuted claims that paperwork has been lodged from both the Toon and PIF – claims made in The Times and Daily Telegraph.

What do we think?
This update doesn’t really tell us anything as it just confirms that talks are ongoing – so we understand why some Newcastle fans feel it is pointless.
However, the fact that talks are continuing, we think, is positive, and we hope that for the people of Tyneside, they reach a successful conclusion.
