A lot of Newcastle United fans have responded to Greg Lake’s latest tweet about the proposed takeover of the Toon.
The former reality TV star claims that the takeover will be completed in two weeks with Rafael Benitez appointed as manager.
Lake also states that Gareth Bale is the top target for the summer and that in the next two years, Newcastle will spend £800m on new players.
Mr Lake claimed in an earlier tweet that he heard that the takeover was agreed through his source, a football lawyer, and with the deal edging towards completion, it seems that his source was right about the takeover.
Do you believe any of this?
Yes
No
However, this latest claim seems too far-fetched for these Toon fans.

Never pass FFP that’s ridiculous
Rules only been relaxed to allow owners to put own money in to stop club going bust and give a little bit extra time to balance books.— Geordie (@ToonWalker_Jedi) April 15, 2020
What do we think?
Lake’s source about the takeover seems to have been right, although nothing can be said until the deal is confirmed by the Premier League and the buying and selling parties.
However, this latest claim from Lake is bold, to say the least, and judging by the reaction of these Newcastle fans, they refuse to believe that any of this is true.
