A lot of Newcastle United fans have responded to a tweet from Craig Hope showing a scene from the new season of Sunderland ‘Til I Die.

The clip is just over a minute long and shows Sunderland’s former board member Charlie Methven discussing what music the Black Cats should have for coming out of the tunnel before the game starts.

Who is Newcastle's top goalscorer in the league?

Methven, in the clip, claims that he wants to change the current song from “Dance of the Knights” to something else.

Many Newcastle fans have found this to be hilarious. Given the rivalry between the two clubs, this is hardly surprising – and with Sunderland failing to earn promotion to the second tier amid the apparently comical goings-on behind the scenes, Magpies fans were left to revel in their rivals’ failures.

What do we think?

The reactions from people in the room to Methven’s suggestion, to us, is very funny, and we are not surprised that these Toon fans are mocking Sunderland.
