What do we think?
David Silva’s impending departure after 10 years with the club will leave a hole City’s attacking midfield department as of next season, meaning that Pep Guardiola could look to strengthen his side in that area, however, the Spaniard has previously stated that Phil Foden could fill the void to be left by Silva.
Having said this, should Guardiola look to improve his squad in midfield over the transfer window, Havertz certainly looks an exciting prospect.
The 20-year-old has scored six and provided five assists in his 22 Bundesliga games, in addition to a further three goals and two assists over three Europa League appearances with Leverkusen.
As such, it is not surprising to see some City fans begging their club to make a move for the £72.9 million-rated Havertz – though it seems others would prefer to bolster the first team from within.
