Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that City are interested in Marseille centre-back Boubacar Kamara.
According to reports in the Daily Express, Manchester City are taking a close look at the French U21 international, with Marseille valuing the player at around £28 million.
In reaction to the report, which was relayed by Man City Xtra on Twitter, fans of the club have flocked to share their opinions on the matter, with many suggesting that Kamara would be a good signing, while others have claimed that City should look elsewhere, with worries that Kamara is too small, or that his centre-back partner at Marseille, Duje Caleta-Car, would be a better option.

The Ligue 1 side are willing to off-load the defender before the start of next season, and value the France U21 international at around £28million.

If we sign him, we’ll be able to sing Kate bush – babushca to him! Obviously change the word to his name, but the same tune!

What do we think?
While the report in the Daily Express states that Kamara is rated as one of the most promising defenders in Europe, after looking at the 20-year-old’s stats, it is not difficult to see why.
This season, Kamara has made 24 Ligue 1 appearances for Marseille, scoring once and providing two assists, while averaging an impressive WhoScored match rating of 6.99, despite his tender years.
Therefore, with the player’s value being £24.3 million, if, as the report suggests, Marseille only ask for £28 million for the centre-back, City fans may be right in suggesting that their club would truly be getting value for money in the signing – although it seems there also plenty who have their doubts.
