Manchester City, along with Chelsea, are yet to come to an agreement with their playing staff over wage cuts in order to protect themselves against the health crisis that has seen football suspended and many people lose their lives – that’s according to the Daily Mail.
Pep Guardiola is said to be ‘thoroughly unimpressed‘ at the attitude of some of his staff and recently suffered the loss of his mother after she had contracted the virus.
Here is how some of the club’s fans have responded to the update on Twitter.
Disappointing

If this is true it would be hugely disappointing and will not be acceptable.

However, there were others who were less inclined to believe the reports and leapt to the defence of their stars.

Are Man City correct to ask their players to take a pay cut?

What do we think?
Based on the above responses, it’s clear that opinion regarding the accuracy of this report is divided.
Recently, the Premier League players launched a charitable fund called PlayersTogether in order to raise money for the National Health Service (via the Independent) as the country fights back against the disease.
It’s unknown whether or not an agreement between Manchester City and the players will be reached and this is certainly an issue the club, it’s fans and everybody involved will want to see resolved as soon as possible.
