Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays comments made by Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.
In a video produced by BT Sport, United forward Marcus Rashford was quizzed by a room full of children on their most urgent questions.
When faced with the question of whether Rashford was happy to see that Manchester City got banned from Europe, the England forward replied: “No, I have friends that play for City so it’s not nice to see it happen to them.”
After the comments were relayed on Twitter by City Chief, fans of Manchester City have flocked to share their opinions on the matter, with many surprised to see a player of their rival team answer in the way he did, while others have used Rashford’s comments as a way to call for the signing of the England international.

What do we think?
While United and City usually don’t see eye to eye, it would appear that in this instance, many City fans are appreciative of Rashford’s comments.
Having said this, his remarks are not particularly surprising. Many United and City players will have bonded in England teams, particularly after the national side displayed great unity throughout their 2018 World Cup campaign, in which England reached the semi-finals.
However, the idea of Rashford’s comments leading to a move across Manchester would appear slightly more unrealistic.
