What do we think?

While some City fans do not appear convinced by the potential signing of Martinez, it is difficult to argue that the Argentine is not enjoying a fine spell with Inter.

So far this season, the 22-year-old has scored 11 Serie A goals for his side, averaging an impressive WhoScored match rating of 7.12.

In addition to this, the striker has also scored five goals in his six Champions League appearances, while averaging an even more impressive match rating of 7.36.

As such, should City make a move for the forward, they would be acquiring a proven Champions League-standard goalscorer, and at just 22 years old, a player whose best years are likely still ahead of him.
