Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that claim Tottenham are confident of keeping hold of Harry Kane this summer, despite interest from City and Manchester United.
According to recent reports in the Daily Mail, Spurs are aware that failure to qualify for the Champions League this season will only increase Kane’s frustrations with the club, and potentially open to door to a summer move away from North London.
However, the report also states that Spurs are confident of retaining the England striker, primarily because of the fact that he has four years left to run on his current deal, meaning Tottenham are under no pressure to sell.
In reaction to the story, which was relayed by City Chief on Twitter, fans of the club have flocked to share their opinions on the matter, with many questioning the reported £200 million fee that Tottenham would ask for Kane.

Kane is viewed as a candidate by City to eventually replace Aguero as their 1st choice striker.

Strange how the value of the City players have plummeted but Harry’s has remained firm. Must be all those trophies he’s won.

What do we think?
This season, although the 26-year-old’s injury has kept him out for 14 games, Kane has still returned a respectable 11 Premier League goals from 20 appearances, in addition to a further six goals in the Champions League.
In total, £135 million-rated Kane (as per Transfermarkt) has scored an astonishing 181 goals in 278 appearances for Spurs, so although a £200million valuation sounds a lot for a player who has suffered multiple injuries over his career, after looking at Kane’s return of goals, the price does appear slightly more reasonable.
