Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post on Twitter in which Yaya Toure quote-tweets footage of one of the many goals he scored during his time at the club.
In his post, Toure quote-tweeted a post by Man City Xtra, which showed footage of his goal in the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester United back in 2011.
In reaction to his post, fans of the club flocked to have their say on the footage, with many claiming that they are forever grateful for the 36-year-old’s contributions during his time with City, with one in particular stating their belief that Toure’s goal against United was ‘the day the club’s whole mentality changed’.

I met you the week before and pleaded with you to win this one. You told me “ don’t worry we will win and I will score”.

What do we think?
Toure enjoyed a trophy-laden spell with Manchester City, scoring 79 goals and providing 50 assists over his 316 appearances for the club, helping City to win three Premier League titles, three League Cups, one FA Cup and one Community Sheild.
Quite a few of his 79 goals often came in crucial moments, too, with no better example than his finish against City’s arch-rivals to send his side through to the FA Cup final – in which he would also score the winner.
As such, it is no wonder why so many City fans clearly hold their former midfielder in extremely high regard.
