Probably a 5.
He had some really good flashes and performances under Rafa but never reached his full potential.
Should have been top class and never was.

7 for me being played as a left midfielder was never gonna help him reach potential. Game against arsenal in champions league was unreal

6 – Never fulfilled his potential.

Did Ryan Babel flop at Liverpool?
Yes
No
The 33-year-old, who is now valued at £1.8 million (Transfermarkt), joined the Merseyside club back in 2007 from Ajax for a fee of £15.53 million. Babel made 146 appearances for the club during his time there, scoring 22 goals and providing 18 assists (per Transfermarkt). Babel then left Liverpool in the 2011 January transfer window for a move to German side TSG Hoffenheim. Now that the question has been put to these Liverpool fans to rate and summarise Babel’s time at Anfield, lots of Reds fans have been sharing their views on the matter.
Was a really good player but Rafa killed him imo always played him out Ov position and when he did have a belting game he’d be in the bench the following game

Looked really promising at the start – had some huge moments. Rare combination of speed, strength and technique, but couldn’t really make the most out of it when things started to go downwards for the club. 5.5/10

6. I just don’t feel Rafa was the right manager for him. I feel if he’d gone to arsenal, he’d have really flourished. He needed to feel loved, that just wasn’t Rafa. He showed some great early promise, but faded away. Had so much raw talent.

What do we think?
It seems as though these Liverpool fans are indifferent towards Babel with some suggesting he never lived up to his potential at the club.
