Former Liverpool striker Neil Mellor, with the help of his family, has attempted to re-create Steven Gerrard’s famous UEFA Champions League goal versus Olympiacos using TikTok. The strike took place in December 2004 and came on the way to the club’s European triumph over AC Milan in the 2004/05 season.
It was Mellor’s header that set-up the Anfield legend for a goal he has since labelled his most important in front of the Kop.
Here is how some of the club’s supporters have reacted to the footage shared via Twitter with some commenting on the re-creation whilst others shared their memories of that night.

What do we think?
As is evident from the above responses, it’s a goal that these Liverpool fans won’t forget in a hurry. Some fans were keen to point out the quality of Neil Mellor’s assist which often goes unmentioned.
The Reds won 3-1 that night in front of a crowd of 42,045 despite trailing to a Rivaldo goal inside just 26 minutes (via BBC Sport).
