Some Liverpool fans on Twitter have been discussing the idea of a potential transfer move for Wolves centre-back Conor Coady.
This comes after Liverpool Echo’s Caoimhe O’Neill shared a post via her Twitter account which asked her followers to give their thoughts on a potential Anfield return for the Englishman.
This post then gathered a number of replies from Liverpool fans who were eager to share their opinions on the matter.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans responding to the post:
Big fan of Conor Coady. Would love to see him back at the club one day..
Thoughts on that, Reds?https://t.co/KjmvG8O6Gg

Fully agree! Always comes across as a humble, honest lad too

Love him as a person but not sure it will happen.

He’s a great player. Don’t see it happening as he’s a first team player and the skipper. bench player sure, just don’t see it. Gomes VVD start always imo if fit*

Would you take Conor Coady as a replacement for Dejan Lovren?
Yes
No
The 27-year-old, who is currently valued at £13.05 million according to Transfermarkt, was part of the Liverpool youth system until he left the club in 2014 for £423k. This season has seen the defender make a total of 46 appearances in all competitions for his current club Wolves. O’Neill’s recent post asking Liverpool fans whether or not they would be open to seeing Coady make a return to Merseyside in the future has gathered a big reaction on Twitter.
Would be a better option than Lovren and maybe Matip. Couldn’t see him wanting to battle with Gomez to play alongside VVD

Maybe a replacement for lovren in the summer?

Would need to happen soon. He’s 27. But said in another post I think he’s a perfect fit for our style, his career has been a success since he left us. Wouldn’t be first choice but deff in the mould of player we want. His passing is something else as well!

What do we think?
It seems that despite these Liverpool fans being admirers of Coady, not many believe he has what it takes to cement a place in Jurgen Klopp’s starting XI.
