A group of Liverpool fans have been discussing Dejan Lovren’s time at the club on Twitter in response to a post from the Anfield Edition.
According to a report from Football Insider last month, the Croatian is one of a number of players the club are looking to offload at the end of this current campaign.
These supporters were asked to rate his time at Anfield out of ten and here is how some of them have responded, with one saying he should have left when Brendan Rodgers was sacked in 2015 (per BBC).
ruined our invincible season twice in a row, 0

He’s been absolutely horrific, for the vast majority of his stay here. Should have been sold 4 years ago

Cost us 2 invincible seasons and a league title, and performances like his at Watford and Tottenham are not acceptable at any level.
But did make me scream for joy when we beat Dortmund.— AS Beef (@AS_Beef) April 5, 2020

What do we think?
It appears that most of these fans acknowledge Lovren isn’t quite at the standard required to play centre-back at Liverpool anymore.
The 30-year-old has made 184 appearances for the Anfield club, is a UEFA Champions League winner and played in the 2018 World Cup final with his national team.
He is currently valued at £18m according to Transfermarkt.co.uk and in his nine Premier League appearances this season, he has averaged a performance rating of 7.14/10 (via WhoScored.com) but it is clear these Liverpool fans will not miss him should he leave the club.
