I’d probably say a 6.
A tidy player but often looked short of quality.
Had a really good spell under Klopp near the end but probably best he moved on; did like him.
Better than a relegation battling Championship standard for Stoke though.

6/10
Pretty underrated but never really had the quality— RhysW_LFC (@RhysW_LFC) April 14, 2020
5 at best. Never liverpool quality. But at the same time we could only get c grade players.

Did Liverpool make a mistake in signing Joe Allen?
Yes
No
The 30-year-old made 132 appearances in which he scored seven goals and provided five assists for the Reds in the four years he spent at the club after being signed by Brendan Rodgers. Now that the question has been put to these Liverpool fans on how they would sum up Allen’s time as a Red, this gave lots of supporters the opportunity to share their thoughts on the midfield man.
6, good, but not special player

6 at most had his best spell in the 6 months he worked with klopp but couldn’t even get a full 90 mins without being tired

5/10. Always gave 100% and was nowhere near as bad as some of the players I’ve seen play for Liverpool.

What do we think?
Looking at these replies from the Liverpool fans, it seems that Allen didn’t really leave a lasting impact on these fans.
