The Premier League is looking at the possibility of playing all the remaining fixtures over a five-week period upon football’s resumption – meaning all teams would play twice a week in an attempt to conclude the season, according to The Telegraph.

There are 92 fixtures remaining with 16 of the clubs having just nine games remaining whilst there are four teams with 10 still to play.

Liverpool currently lead the division by an incredible 25 points and were closing in on their first-ever Premier League title when the season was suspended due to the recent viral outbreak.

What do we think?

It’s clear from the above responses that these Liverpool fans are desperate to see the season concluded, even if they’re unable to be there in person with the Reds closing in on their first league title since the 1989/90 season. The proposal would mean teams being forced to play twice per week – which for those who often play in European competition such as the Reds, shouldn’t be too much of an issue.
