Liverpool fans on Twitter have been sharing their current thoughts and feelings on former Red Philippe Coutinho.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @empireofthekop shared a post on their page asking their followers if they are still angry about the Brazilian and his Anfield departure.
This then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were quick to share how they felt on the former Anfield ace.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans responding to the post:
A lot of #LFC fans turned on Coutinho when he forced through a move to Barcelona – are we still angry? ?? https://t.co/RjNZtutEW4

I don’t see how anyone can be angry. Without him leaving we don’t get both Virgil and Allison, we don’t win what we have since. He’s not a scouser, he was never going to stay for life and above it all, he’s a decent player who we have never fully replaced.

Sounds like paving the way for a return

I thank coutinho for moving to Barca
WHY???
Coutinho sale allowed FSG to sign VVD , Becker !!!!
If Coutinho declined Barca offer ,
VVD Becker would not of been signed by FSG and rest is history— nomad@XXX (@nomad56060053) April 8, 2020
He’s a player from Latin America who grew up dreaming of playing for a Spanish giant … we got a boatload of money which we used significantly improve the team. Let it go. #YNWA

Not at all. He followed his dreams and Liverpool have flourished. Would it have been nice to see his talent play alongside this squad? Absolutely. The way it’s played out though, at this point I actually feel badly for him.

Are you still angry with Coutinho's Anfield exit?
Yes
No
The 27-year-old, who is currently valued at £50.4 million according to Transfermarkt, left Liverpool in the 2018 January transfer window for a mega-money move to Barcelona. During his time at Anfield, Coutinho managed to score 54 goals and provide 45 assists in 201 appearances for the Reds (per Transfermarkt). Now that the question has been put to these Liverpool fans about whether or not they are still angry with Coutinho’s departure over two years ago, this has sparked a big debate on Twitter.
Dwelling on this stuff is a small-club mentality. Latin Americans naturally want to play for the Spanish giants. Everything else is a stepping stone really. We spent the money wisely, on Virgil & Alisson, and we started winning, big time. I wouldn’t swap that, so let’s move on.

More disappointed. Liverpool do need a player of his type I think who can find the little gaps in central play in the attacking third but I wouldn’t have him back.

No because we wouldn’t of got the best keeper in the world and the best centre back in the world ????? he’s made his mistake and won’t get them years back now.

What do we think?
It appears that these Liverpool fans have moved on from the whole saga of Coutinho’s Anfield exit. It’s good that they have looked at the bigger picture of where and how the club has progressed since his departure.
