To kick off this 1990s Premier League quiz, which season was the Premier League's inaugural campaign?

What do we think?

After joining the Foxes in January 2014 for a transfer fee of £450k, Mahrez went on to feature for the Foxes in five separate seasons, four of which were contested in the Premier League.

It may be fair to say that Mahrez played a significant role in Leicester’s historic 2015/16 Premier League title-winning campaign. The Algerian scored 17 goals and provided 10 assists in his 37 league games for the Foxes that term, as per Transfermarkt.co.uk. Mahrez made the second-highest number of goal contributions made by any Premier League player during the 2015/16 campaign, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.

As per statbunker.com, the Algerian has also made the joint-second highest number of Premier League assists that have been made by any Foxes player in history.

With that in mind, it may be fair to say that Mahrez delivered some impressive performances in a Leicester City shirt. As a result, it may be harsh for some Foxes supporters to be so critical of the former Leicester winger, despite the fact that he left the club in July 2018 to join fellow Premier League side Manchester City.
