Fans of Everton have been swooning over footage of Tim Cahill that was posted to the Toffees’ official Twitter account.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Toffees relayed the footage of the final goal which the retired Australian scored for the Goodison Park club in 2012 (per Everton), which had fans gushing.

The 40-year-old former Everton player spent eight years with the Goodison Park club, having arrived from Milwall in 2004 and departed for New York Red Bulls in 2012 (per Transfermarkt).
Over his long stay in Merseyside, the attacker made 276 appearances for Everton in which he netted 68 goals, bagged 29 assists (per Transfermarkt) and evidently gained the admiration of supporters.

As can be seen in the responses from these Everton supporters, it is clear how highly they rate their former Australian attacker after his eight-year stay with the Toffees.
After 97 goal involvements in 276 appearances (per Transfermarkt), though, supporters’ feelings towards Cahill perhaps come as no surprise.
