Do you think that the Toffees should make Djibril Sidibe a permanent signing at the end of the season?Yes, he is very underratedNo, he's not good enough |
It may be a little difficult for the Merseyside club to ‘sell’ the 27-year-old as one supporter suggested, though, as he is currently partway through a season-long loan with an option to purchase from AS Monaco (per BBC).
However, according to the report, Sidibe is joined by Tottenham Hotspur’s Serge Aurier and LOSC Lille’s Zeki Celik on the three-man shortlist.
Have they seen him play?

Not solid enough at the back

What do we think?
When considering the Frenchman’s average rating and stats for the season so far, the fans’ response seems baffling as Sidibe has been the third-best performer for the Toffees in the league with a 7.01/10 (per WhoScored).
Furthermore, with one fan suggesting the full-back is ‘not solid enough at the back’, Sidibe has made the most tackles (3.7) and the most interceptions (1.8) in the Everton squad per Premier League game on average (per WhoScored).
