TiF Tactics – How does Belotti compare?

Carlo Ancelotti currently has four out-and-out strikers contracted in the first team – those being Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Moise Kean, Cenk Tosun and Oumar Niasse (per Transfermarkt).

The most obvious competition to Belotti among those options would appear to be Calvert-Lewin, as the striker has scored 13 goals in 27 Premier League appearances this term (per Transfermarkt).

In Serie A, Belotti has also had a respectable return in league matches, having scored nine goals in 23 appearances (per Transfermarkt).

When considering the pair’s stats a little deeper, it becomes clear that Belotti has been having a marginally better season than the Englishman in some respects.

In the Premier League, Calvert-Lewin has had an average of 2.4 shots, made 0.5 key passes and 2.9 poor controls per outing (per WhoScored).

Belotti has bettered all of these stats in Serie A with 2.7 shots, 1.1 key passes and 2.5 poor controls per game (per WhoScored), meaning that the Italian international could be a better prospect.
