Did you enjoy the old match footage from the victory against Bradford City? No, they were bleak timesYes, it was a good watch |
The footage which was posted by the Toffees came from a 2-1 victory against the Bantams at Goodison Park, and, following the defeat, Bradford were relegated from the Premier League (per BBC).
So, after the old footage resurfaced when Everton posted it to social media, lots of fans had their say on the highlights reel from 2001.
Notice how much space there is when taking throw ins. Walter Smith narrowed the pitch during the close season. Lost about 1m on each wing.

What do we think?
As can be seen in the responses from Everton supporters, some fans have fonder memories of the game against Bradford than others do as the post seemed to split opinion.
It seems understandable, though, that the 2000/01 season could have been one to forget for some Everton fans, as the Merseyside club finished in a lowly 16th position in the league.
