Supporters of Everton have been reacting to Schalke 04 manager David Wagner’s admission on the Toffees’ loanee Jonjoe Kenny.
In a recent interview (via Sky Sports), the German manager admitted that the Bundesliga side is “very keen to keep” the defender, however, “won’t have the financial power to buy him” if the Toffees want to sell (via Everton News Feed), which had fans talking.
?"It looks like we won't have the financial power to buy him and if Everton like to sell him then we are more or less chanceless. We are very keen to keep him at our club (on loan)” – Schalke manager, David Wagner on Jonjoe Kenny pic.twitter.com/8ON7PCnfi0

Won’t have the financial power? How much would Kenny command and how bad is Schalke’s financial situation?

The former Huddersfield Town gaffer went on to admit that if Kenny were to be put up for sale, then his side would be “more or less chanceless” but they are “very keen” on another loan deal (per Sky Sports).
However, after the quotes from the German manager were shared to social media (via Everton News Feed), supporters continued airing their reactions.
Yeah no chance of a loan two seasons running.

What do we think?
During this season, Kenny has been only the 15th-best performer for Schalke in the league with a 6.53/10 (per WhoScored), so, it does not seem as though the 23-year-old Englishman is in flying form.
However, he has clearly made an impression on Wagner and that has led to some varying reactions from Everton fans, although most seem as though they would like to see Kenny return to Goodison Park.
