Supporters of Everton have been reacting to transfer news on James Rodriguez that was relayed by journalist Nicolo Schira.
According to Schira, the Colombian midfielder is Carlo Ancelotti’s ‘first choice’ target and he has been offered a four-year contract by the Toffees, which had Everton fans talking.
Carlo #Ancelotti’s first choice is always #JamesRodriguez. #Everton have offered a 4-years contract to the colombian player, who’ll leave RealMadrid in the next months. #Coutinho (also Tottenham and Chelsea are interested) and #Lozano are the plans B for #Toffees. #transfers #EFC

Is that after they sign Allan to a deal until 2025 and Moise Kean goes to Roma for Chris Smalling or before?

No chance. This will not happen. Personally think the days of Everton signing over paid, ageing, on the way down players are over. Richarlison, Kean, Digne, Iwobi, Bernard, Mina, Zouma. We are going after players of a certain age with scope to improve

Was panicking thought it was Jay Rodriguez ???

Which of the three players would you rather the Toffees signed?RodriguezLozanoCoutinho |
According to the tweet from the journalist, the Toffees have Barcelona’s Philippe Coutinho and Napoli’s Hirving Lozano as their ‘plan B’.
So, with Rodriguez as ‘first choice’ and two other players touted to be ‘plan B’, supporters began airing which of the trio they wished was the ‘first choice’ option.
I’d prefer Chucky Lozano

Shouldn’t coutinho be plan A?

What do we think?
As can be seen in the responses from Everton supporters, there is a mixture of disbelief about this transfer rumour and supporters being unsure if they even want the Colombian.
From an average rating point of view, Coutinho should be the clear first-choice as his 7.27/10 average rating in the Bundesliga far outweighs both Rodriguez’s 6.87/10 in La Liga and Lozano’s 6.43/10 in Serie A.
