Fans of Crystal Palace have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which winger Andros Townsend comments on footage from the club’s 2-0 victory over West Brom in 2017.
In the footage, Wilfried Zaha finishes off a very well-worked passing move, before Townsend’s late solo run and subsequent finish saw Palace run out 2-0 winners at The Hawthorns.
After quote-tweeting the footage, which was originally uploaded by the official Crystal Palace Twitter account, Townsend commented: “Wow… I never realised how good that first goal actually was.”
In reaction to his comments, fans of the club have flocked to share their opinions on the matter, with many reminiscing about how they miss certain players from that Palace side, while others commented on the quality of the second goal, scored by Townsend himself.

What do we think?
Although Townsend has scored some memorable goals in his time with Palace, including his brilliant effort against West Brom, the winger has often not lived up to expectations in terms of goalscoring.
This season, the former England international has scored just one goal and provided one assist in his 15 Premier League fixtures. In fact, over his 140 games for Palace, he has managed just 15 goals and 23 assists.
Despite this, however, fans of the club seem to hold the winger in high regard, perhaps suggesting that Townsend’s quality over quantity tips the scales in the winger’s favour.
