Aston Villa fans have been pleading on Twitter for the club to sell winger Anwar El Ghazi.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @VillaTil1Die shared a post on their page asking their followers if they would sell or keep the Dutchman this summer.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Villa fans who were calling for the club to cut their ties with El Ghazi.
Here’s a sample of Villa fans responding to the post:

Afraid it’s sell for me, good player with loads of ability but not consistent enough to keep you in the upper reaches of the prem. Wished we’d have got Benhrama instead….

SELL… He’s better than Trev, but still a rather selfish, Messi wannabe. He also gives the ball away way too often.
He does have an occasional good game. He was great vs Spurs. But then again, he also took himself off because someone touched his eye.

Sell if we stay up. Worth the punt we took with what we had to pay but not kicked on and is far too inconsistent.

Should Villa keep or sell El Ghazi this summer?
Yes
No
The 24-year-old signed to the Birmingham club back in the 2019 summer transfer window from French side LOSC Lille for a fee of £8.10 million (per Transfermarkt). This season has seen El Ghazi score six goals and provide seven assists in 31 appearances in all competitions for Dean Smith’s side. Now that the question has been put to these Villa fans on whether or not they would like to see El Ghazi continue at the club or not, unfortunately for the winger, not many Villa fans were feeling like the club should keep hold of him.
Sell. Inconsistent, petulant, lack of fight/desire, doesn’t give me the impression of being a team player. I think there are better options out there for the money we would get for him.

Sell if there’s profit in it

Sell…some good qualities, but the gap between his bad and good games is too big

Sell, With the current influx of new players we have to many players playing as individuals and not as a Team and he is one of them his work rate is very poor.

What do we think?
It’s a shame that these fans don’t see a future at Villa Park for El Ghazi.
