Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to respond to resurfaced comments made by striker Mbwana Samatta.
This comes after the official Villa Twitter account shared a post on their page that included a quote from Samatta’s first interview with the club.
After signing to the club back in the previous January transfer window, the 27-year-old revealed that people in his home country of Tanzania “were looking for it to see when someone from Tanzania could play in the Premier League, and here I am.”
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Villa fans, who were eager to share their thoughts on the January signing.
Here’s a sample of Villa fans responding to the post:

What do we think?
Samatta’s brace of goals in just six appearances for Villa shows that he settled into Dean Smith’s side relatively well. The hope for Villa fans now would be that the current suspension of football will be over soon so Samatta can continue scoring goals for the club and help them avoid relegation back to the Championship.
