A lot of Aston Villa fans have responded to a tweet from villareport with a claim that Besiktas want to sign Villa’s goalkeeper Orjan Nyland.
The report, that originally comes from Turkish news outlet, Fanatik claims that Besiktas want to replace Loris Karius with Nyland.
However, judging by the responses from these Villa fans, they do not seem keen on losing the 29-year-old.
Besiktas are interested in Ørjan Nyland as they look to bring in a replacement for Loris Karius. [@fanatikcomtr] #avfc

They’re not having our No 1 Keeper!

Yeah don’t see us selling him. He is constantly improving could be a really great keeper one day. Surely he would rather learn his trade here than any other country.

What do we think?
Nyland is currently one of four first-team goalkeepers in the squad (Nyland, Tom Heaton, Pepe Reina and Jed Steer) while Lovre Kalinic is out on loan.
Do you want Villa to keep Nyland?
Yes
No
The Norwegian international has made eight first-team appearances this season but only three have come in the league.
The 29-year-old, who is valued at £1.35m by Transfermarkt, was mainly used as the club’s Carabao Cup goalkeeper until Heaton was injured – that allowed Nyland to play in the top-flight, but since Reina was signed on loan Nyland has returned to the bench.
Could this mean that Nyland might want to leave Villa Park in the summer?
We will have to wait and see what the summer brings.
