If we make a profit then yes. That’s the whole point of last summers transfer policy. Buy players that will improve in value, sell at a profit, ease the FFP issues. We’re be doing so for a couple more years I guess.

Would you be happy for Villa to sell Targett this summer?
Yes, if they make a profit
No, the team needs him
The Englishman signed for the Birmingham club in the previous summer transfer window from fellow Premier League side Southampton for a fee of £13.95 million (per Transfermarkt). In his debut season at Villa Park, the full-back has managed to score two goals and provide two assists in 24 appearances across all competitions for Dean Smith’s side. His appearances in the Premier League have resulted in Targett being awarded a season rating of 6.89/10, making him the third-highest rated Villa player this year (per WhoScored). Now that news has emerged that Chelsea could make a move for the 24-year-old this summer, this has sparked a big debate on Twitter.

What do we think?
It seems that this rumour of Targett’s Villa Park exit has split these Villa fans with some hoping to see him stay at the club, whereas others wouldn’t be too bothered if he were to leave.
