Aston Villa fans have been responding on Twitter to the latest transfer rumour surrounding striker Wesley.
This comes after Villa news Twitter account @AVFC_News shared a post on their official page that contained an article from the Birmingham Mail.
The article reveals that Turkish media outlet Fotospor have claimed that Wesley is on a shortlist of strikers that include Newcastle United’s Joelinton and Leicester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho as being transfer targets for Trabzonspor.
This post then gathered a number of replies from Villa fans who were eager to have their say on this latest rumour.

If they give anywhere near the amount we paid I’d say take it.
But it’s unfair to say he’s been a failure as he has never been played to his strengths, at Brugge he was played in a two not solo as at Villa.
Would be good to see if he and Samatta could perform as a strike force— Mike Knott (@MikeKnott10) April 17, 2020
I’d probably take £15m for him and wish him all the best at this stage.

Problem you have in my opinion is you need a striker and a keeper to hit the ground running. There’s a percentage of cover during a game for the other 9 players if they are having an off day. I wouldn’t sell but I wouldn’t be surprised if the next signing is another forward.

Should Villa keep or sell Wesley this summer?
Keep him
Sell him
The Brazilian only joined the Birmingham-based club in the previous summer transfer window for a club-record fee of £22.5 million (per Transfermarkt). Now that it has been reported that Wesley is one of the Premier League strikers being eyed-up for a move to Turkey this summer, this sparked a big reaction from Villa fans on Twitter who were not shy in letting their feelings on the matter known.
Honestly wouldn’t be disappointed if Wes left. I’m not a nay sayers but he didn’t really bring anything to the table

They cant afford him

Sorry but if any fan says yes to selling any of these players after a single year in the prem is fickle as hell…

What do we think?
It seems as though the idea of Villa letting Wesley go after just one season at the club has split the fans.
