Aston Villa fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest transfer reports surrounding Villa striker Borja Baston.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @villareport shared a post on their page relaying news that was originally published in a report from AS.
The report claims that Spanish side Real Zaragoza are in negotiations to sign Borja Baston. The deal will allegedly go through if Zaragoza are promoted back to La Liga.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Villa fans who were keen on having their say regarding this latest development.

Totally forgot we signed him as our annual random signing from Swansea.

His signing smacks of Suso bringing in players above Smith, no way was he on smiths radar, we just got desperate at the last minute.

I forgot he had even played for us

Did Villa make a mistake signing Baston?
Yes
No
The Spaniard joined Aston Villa on a free transfer from Championship side Swansea City in the most recent January transfer window. Since then, the striker has played just 16 minutes of football for the Birmingham-based club in two appearances off the bench (per Transfermarkt). Now that it has been reported that Baston could be departing the club this summer, this sparked a big discussion on Twitter.
Villa must be confident the league aren’t gonna relegate them this year cos that dude was definitely bought with one eye on the championship

Not sure why he was brought in the first place. Why are we not buying better quality than players like him?! Kevin Gumerio for one would have got 15 goals or Julian Brandt. Instead of Drinkwater. ?

Absolute joke that we’re letting him go – smith out

What do we think?
It seems strange that Villa may be open to letting Baston leave in the summer when he only joined the club in January.
