Brilliant player, the last couple of seasons tarnished his reputation between villa fans though tbh

It’s such a shame how he allowed his career to wimper out and simply ride his contract. And to retire at just 30 when he could have offered so much more. Utterly frustrating.

Deadly.

Is Gabriel Agbonlahor a Villa club legend?
Yes
No
The Englishman joined the Villa senior squad back in 2005 after coming through the club’s youth system. After a couple of loan deals at Watford and Sheffield Wednesday, Agbonlahor finally left the club in 2018 before retiring a year later (per Transfermarkt). The forward made a total of 391 appearances for the club in which he scored 86 goals and provide 57 assists along the way (per Transfermarkt). Now that this footage of Agbonlahor’s highlights in a Villa shirt has emerged on Twitter, this has given lots of Villa fans the opportunity to share their views on the 33-year-old.
People need to put some respect on his name. Don’t let his last season make you think any different.

What do we think?
Given how many appearances Agbonlahor made for the club during his time there, it comes as no surprise that so many Villa supporters are full of admiration for him.
