Aston Villa fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest reports surrounding Villa manager Dean Smith.
This comes after Villa news Twitter account @AVFC_News shared a post on their page that contained an article from the Birmingham Mail who relayed the report originally published by The Sun.
The report links Burnley manager Sean Dyche with a move to Aston Villa if the club avoids relegation this season.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Villa fans who were quick to have their say on the matter.
Here’s a sample of Villa fans responding to the post:

Don’t fit into the narrative and approach of what the owners want at all…style of football was high on the reasons as to why DS was appointed and although I’ve not been convinced DS has got us playing an attractive brand of football, SD isn’t renown for playing that at all

I don’t dislike smith. But if dean dyche becomes available then we go for him. He’s far and away a better manger then smith. Or go to Germany and get a young manger from over there

Interesting and I wouldn’t argue against the thought process…… I called for this as a Villa fan a while ago so let’s see

Would you want to see Sean Dyche take over from Dean Smith?
Yes
No
Smith took over at Villa Park back in October 2018 and has since taken charge of 74 matches, averaging a total of 1.50 points per game for the Birmingham club (per Transfermarkt). Now that it has been reported that Dyche could take over from Smith in the near future, not all Villa fans have been totally convinced by this news.
Edens in his most recent interview, stated that staying up was a priority. Paying up Smith’s contract would be a small price to pay in order to secure Premiership status.

So 24 hours after the joint owner states his ambitions and clearly says style is key we are apparently have an eye on Dyche… pic.twitter.com/lTEf5H4OYU

What do we think?
Given how earlier in the season Smith signed a new contract at Villa keeping him at the club for another four years, it would be a surprise to see him depart his position at Villa anytime soon.
