Aston Villa fans have been gushing on Twitter over recently posted footage from Villa’s Carabao Cup match against Leicester City.
This comes after football Twitter account @f00tballvideos shared a post on their page that contained a video of match footage from Villa’s 1-1 draw at the King Power Stadium in the Carabao Cup first-leg semi-final clash back in January.
The page captioned the post claiming that Villa were “the greatest team in the world for 23 seconds” during the match.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Villa fans who were eager to share their thoughts on this footage.

Tbf we’ve always been the greatest club in the world, 23 seconds of being the greatest team is pretty cool too

Was Villa's Carabao Cup match at Leicester their best performance of the season?
Yes
No
The footage shows numerous Villa players passing the ball around and keeping possession in tight areas whilst being crowded and pressured by the Leicester players. As this footage stated to make the rounds on Twitter once again, it caught the attention of a lot of Villa fans who were in awe with this short passage of play from their team.
We had no striker that game

We are the best team in the world all the time?

They’re capable of good football for about 23 seconds a game. They have it in them. But then its as if a switch goes on, like a rest mode, where they think thats it, lets admire what we just did & retreat; invite pressure now and just hoof the ball back whenever we get it #avfc

What do we think?
It’s a great move by these Villa players to keep possession in such a tight space on the pitch. The fact that Villa went on to win the second leg of the semi-final at Villa Park made this stage of the competition so memorable for the Villa fans.
