Aston Villa fans on Twitter have been discussing Jack Grealish and his season so far.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @astonforza shared a post on their page relaying footage originally shown by Sky Sports via Football Daily.
The footage shows Sky Sports pundits Graeme Souness and Paul Merson debating Grealish’s role in the Villa team this year.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Villa fans who were keen to have their say on their club captain.

Grealish is most fouled not tackled. He’s 12 for most dispossessed below Sterling which suggests although he holds onto the ball he generally creates something from it or gets fouled.

It’s v true tho let’s not lie here, if we get sanson or a lopez (someone v good next season) then we would work as a unit rather than relying on jack all the time…

He’s the most fouled player as he takes on and beats players more than anyone in the league. I can’t think of another player than does what he does.

Does Jack Grealish try to do everything himself?
Yes, he's doing too much
No, he works with the team
In the footage, Souness claims that Grealish needs to move the ball quicker while he has possession, whereas Merson sees this as Grealish trying to do everything himself and carry his teammates. The 24-year-old has been Villa’s star performer so far this year, with a current season rating of 7.33/10 (per WhoScored). In 31 appearances for Dean Smith’s side in all competitions this season, Grealish has scored nine goals and provided eight assists (per Transfermarkt). Now that this footage of the two pundits has been posted onto Twitter, it quickly gathered a lot of responses from Villa fans who were eager to weigh in on the debate.

Couldn’t agree more. Look at when he plays next to Hourihane, the latter scores in most games

He only holds on to it because he’s looking for McGinn ??can’t wait till he plays again
