Fans of Swansea City have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which confirms that 19-year-old Ben Cabango has signed a contract extension with the club until 2023.

Cabango, who is an academy graduate of Swansea City, has signed a new contract which extends his current deal for a further two years, which now expires in 2023.

After making his debut against Huddersfield Town earlier this season, the 19-year-old became the first player born in the 21st century to represent the Swans in the Championship.

In reaction to the news, which was posted by the official Swansea club account, fans of the Swans have flocked to send their congratulations to the centre-back, while others have simply thanked the club for providing them with some good news.

Cabango has impressed so far in his breakthrough season, with the centre-back averaging an impressive WhoScored match rating of 6.83.

Since making his league debut against Huddersfield back in November, the 19-year-old has only been left out of the squad on two occasions and is quickly becoming an important part of Steve Cooper’s first-team.
